Dr S W McLaren BDS MBChB MFDS RCS (Ed)Dr McLaren qualified from Glasgow University in 1999. After completing his vocational training in Dumfries, he took up positions in Oral medicine and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Following gaining his Membership to the faculty of Dental Surgeons at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2001, he entered medical school at Dundee University, qualifying as a medical doctor in 2005. He then took up several positions encompassing many disciplines in medicine and surgery, latterly having a significant interest in Emergency medicine. Dr McLaren continues to practice as a doctor in the busy A&E department at the Victoria Infirmary, Glasgow. He became interested in dental implantology throughout his time in medicine and eventually studied under the renowned implantologist, periodontologist and prosthodontist, Dr Crawford Bain in his ‘year long implant course’. He has also studied Implantology at Sheffield University under renowned consultants Dr Raj Patel and Prof Ian Brooks. Dr McLaren has also been mentored under the Nobel Biocare Mentor programme under Dr. Philip Friel, one of Scotlands leading implant surgeons. He is a member of the British Medical Association, The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Association of Dental Implantology.

Dr P K Larmour BDS MBChB MFDS RCS (Ed)Dr Larmour qualified from Dundee University in 1998. After completing his vocational training in Bathgate, he worked as a dental practitioner in Edinburgh. He began his hospital career in 2001 at Pinderfields hospital, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, where he worked in Oral & Maxillofacial surgery. Following gaining his Membership to the faculty of Dental Surgeons at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2001, he entered medical school at Dundee University qualifying as a medical doctor in 2005. He then took up several positions encompassing many disciplines in medicine and surgery. He became interested in dental implantology after qualifying from medical school and eventually studied under the renowned implantologist, periodontologist and prosthodontist, Dr Crawford Bain in his ‘year long implant course’. He has also studied implants at Sheffield University under renowned consultants Dr Raj Patel and Prof Ian Brooks. He has also been involved in several cases with Dr Philip Friel in Edinburgh. He is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology. Despite devoting most of his time in dental practice, Dr Larmour still maintains his hospital medical practice. |
